What is TCDS?
The Tambram Community Development Society (TCDS) came into being in the year 1985 by the committed Christians. It is an expression of the commitment to the cause of the poor and the voiceless, who are at the margins of society..
The TCDS is a non-government service organization registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act.
TCDS is approved by the Governmental of India to receive foreign funds and donations made to TCDS are exempt from tax under 80G of Income Tax Act, 1961.
The registered office of TCDS is situated in Vandalur of Kanchipuram District, 25Kms from Chennai city and 15Kms from Chennai Airport

A viable alternative society where the disadvantaged and the dispossessed will have access to a life with justice and equity through education, empowerment and availability of livelihood opportunities for sustainable development and life with dignity.

To educate and organize the poorer sections, particularly women
To facilitate economic empowerment and leadership
To work towards sensitivity and equality
To provide educational and care support services for children who are the future society
To address the issue of commercial sex workers, persons living with HIV/AIDS
To promote self-help, self reliance and self confidence, dignity among poor and to reach out doubly marginalized groups such as tribal, terminally ill, destitute and others in need and deprivation.
